Jodi Brown, a registered member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology specializing in health education from the University of Minnesota, Bemidji and a Masters of Counselling Psychology degree from Yorkville University.
Jodi has 18 years of experience in the health and wellness field, emphasizing quality of life, meditation and mindfulness. She brings compassion, empathy, and honesty to the counselling relationship, facilitating every individual on their path of healing and self-exploration.
Jodi has training in dialectic behaviour therapy and uses it to compliment her solution focused work, mindfulness, and dialogic therapy techniques. Her passion is working with couples and young adults, but treats clients of all ages and demographics. She also works with individuals suffering with sexual trauma, or sexual dysfunction related to trauma, crisis, anxiety, depression, workplace stress, and all forms of mental health issues.
Jodi’s strength is her ability to relate to each client on a personal level and through a variety of personal experiences. She is committed to building a strong relationship with her clients, built on the foundation of trust, empathy and compassion. She believes that the therapeutic alliance is the basis of all therapeutic change and encourages her clients to trust themselves and the healing process.
