MEd., RP (Qualifying)
James is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. He earned his BA in Psychology from Western University in 2015 and his MEd in Counselling and Psychotherapy from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education at the University of Toronto in 2018.
James has worked clinically with individuals with a wide range of presenting concerns including, but not limited to depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, impulse control, anger management, trauma, addiction, interpersonal conflict, relationship/martial communication challenges and life transitions. James has primarily provided psychotherapy utilizing a brief therapeutic model typically consisting of 3 – 12 sessions.
James follows a Person-Centered therapeutic approach, which calls for the establishment of a collaborative therapeutic relationship. He recognizes every individual is unique and through attentive listening and an honest dialogue he seeks to engage his clients in their experiences to help them find their way forward to a better and more meaningful experience of themselves and their lives with others. James also has experience working with other clinical approaches including Cognitive-Behavioral, Emotion-Focused, and Psychodynamic therapy.
James’ schedule is arranged to accommodate daytime, evening and weekend hours. His professional fee is $75. He invites you to contact him directly to book a session.
