The Counselling House would like you to meet Frankie, a Registered Therapy dog who works with Jodi Brown, MACP.
Frankie is a two-year-old miniature Australian Sheppard. She has completed four levels of obedience and screening in order to be certified as a therapy dog.
Frankie provides emotional support through her calm demeanour and love for children. She is able to provide comfort, affection, and attention to clients who are experiencing mental health issues or personal struggles within their life. You are is able to engage with Frankie as you wish.
A therapy dog can be beneficial in reducing stress, promote well-being, and increase self-esteem. Having a therapy dog in the counselling room can provide a comfort to you by allowing them to focus on Frankie when discussing challenging topics.
