Christie is currently a graduate student of the Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology program through Yorkville University. She is completing her practicum at The Counselling House alongside Laurie Ponsford-Hill. She received her undergraduate degree from Brock University in St. Catharines, Ontario.
She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree with a Major in Psychology. She also completed her Ontario College Advanced Diploma in Child and Youth Work with honours at Fanshawe College in London, Ontario.
Christie is an empathetic and caring person. She focuses on building a good rapport and therapeutic relationship with her clients in order to help each individual and their unique needs. She is a good listener, professional, and focusses on helping her clients feel comfortable within the counselling environment.
Christie has worked with children and adolescents through her previous Child and Youth work practicums. She has also volunteered with adolescents at a mental health hospital but is comfortable working with clients of any age. She is excited to be beginning her career as a counsellor by providing comfortable and confidential services to fit her client’s needs.
