Counselling Student/Intern
I am currently completing my practicum under the supervision of Laurie Ponsford-Hill as part of my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology. Having completed the coursework portion of my degree, I am now focused on applying my knowledge and skills in a supportive and client-centred environment.
I am particularly drawn to Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused approaches. I am particularly drawn to these methods for their practical, goal-oriented nature and their ability to empower individuals to take an active role in their healing and growth. I aim to work collaboratively with clients to help them recognize their inner strengths, develop effective coping strategies, and make positive changes in their lives.
At the core of my practice is a deep respect for each person’s unique experiences. I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental space where clients feel heard, valued, and supported as they explore their thoughts, emotions, and goals. My hope is to help individuals not only navigate life’s challenges but also realize their full potential and move forward with confidence.
I am honoured to be part of each client’s journey and am committed to offering thoughtful, ethical, and empathetic care throughout the counselling process.
