About Kathleen:
Kathleen is a registered psychotherapist (qualifying) who recognizes the importance of building strong therapeutic relationships with clients based on trust and an appreciation of their strengths. Kathleen applies evidence-based cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT) as well as eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) therapy to her counselling work.
Kathleen welcomes all clients to step into her therapy sessions. She is especially interested in helping individuals navigate their feelings of anxiety, depression, loss, and trauma. Kathleen also has experience working with couples and families, aiding them in understanding their unique dynamics. Additionally, Kathleen is fascinated by the mind-body connection and implements this awareness or mindfulness in her counselling work. Currently, she is offering psychotherapy services online, over-the-phone or in-person in London, Woodstock, and Port Stanley. These services are provided on a sliding scale through the Counselling House as Kathleen works under the supervision of Laurie Ponsford-Hill.
