Navigating Parenthood with Postpartum Depression in London and Woodstock
Navigating Parenthood with Postpartum Depression is an 8-week online mental health counselling group to support mothers through the changes associated with transitioning to life with a new baby. Topics of this group will include strategies to manage symptoms of depression and anxiety, exploring the losses and gains of parenthood, expectations, judgement from others, and changes in relationships.
The group is open to individuals within the postpartum period and up to 1.5 years after delivery. The group will meet each week on Zoom for 2 hours from June 3- July 22, 2021. The group seeks to provide the opportunity to express yourself in a safe, confidential environment to feel supported and learn from other parents. Weekly discussion will explore elements that are frequently experienced by parents as they transition to life with their new baby. Facilitating the weekly group sessions will be counselling interns Samantha Murray, Renata Fulawka, and Sandrine Maheux from The Counselling House.
