Chioma Omashiridi Akagha
Chioma Omashiridi Akagha is a compassionate, faith informed and client-centered Counsellor in training currently pursuing a Master of Christian Counselling at Canada Christian College and School of Graduate Theological Studies. She brings a diverse educational and professional background, encompassing counselling, business leadership, agriculture, ministry and community service, seen through more than 20 years of experience through her career in which she has mentored employees, managed teams, resolved workplace conflicts, held leadership roles, provided guidance and support to individuals and families, promoted personal development, relationship building, and wellness through community welfare activities.
Chioma has a passion to work with university and college students, first year students adjusting to academic and social life, young adults navigating life transitions, individuals experiencing stress and anxiety, clients seeking personal growth and self-discovery, individuals interested in faith-integrated counselling and divers and multicultural populations.
Chioma is currently completing her internship at The Counselling House under the supervision of Rev. Dr. Laurie Ponsford-Hill, PhD, RSW, RP.
