Understanding trauma responses and approaches that emphasize safety, choice, collaboration and empowerment.

REGULATION & THE NERVOUS SYSTEM

Exploring regulation, co-regulation and the relationship between physiological and emotional responses.

CLINICAL ASSESSMENT

Introduction to clinical observation, assessment, formulation and treatment planning within appropriate professional scope.

The applicable Ministry exemption is held through Portside ART Institute.

The program is offered as Ministry-exempt training and is not represented as a government-accredited degree program.

Prospective students are responsible for determining whether this program meets the requirements of their intended professional association, employer, insurer, regulatory body, educational institution or other organization.

Students are encouraged to confirm recognition and eligibility requirements before enrolling.


PROFESSIONAL SCOPE

Completion of this program does not independently confer registration or licensure as a psychotherapist, psychologist, social worker, counsellor or other regulated professional.

Participants must practise within the scope of their existing education, credentials, registration and applicable legislation.

Students are responsible for understanding and complying with the requirements of any professional organization or regulatory body with which they are affiliated or intend to become affiliated.


CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION

Students who successfully complete the program requirements will receive a:

Certificate of Completion in Advanced Counselling Psychotherapy

The certificate will identify the educational relationship between The Counselling House and Portside ART Institute.
